DescriptionThis position requires a minimum of 3 years’ experience in semiconductor capital equipment sales with a strong emphasis on measurement and characterization of materials and devices. The successful candidate will have excellent technical presentation skills and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels in a small group. A strong aptitude for managing a sales operation, achieving forecasted goals, strategic negotiation and closing skills will be integral parts of this position. The Technical Salesperson will be responsible for inside and outside sales of systems provided by Nanometrics and company Technology.
RequirementsBachelor’s Degree with a concentration in one or more of the following areas: 1. Business Administration & Sales 2. Material Science, Physics of Semiconductors 3. Micro Electronics / Semiconductor Process 4. Technical sales and customer relations 3 ~ 5 years 5. Sales planning, forecasting, and management 6. Product demonstration & group presentation Physical and Mental Requirements: 1. The ability to travel by car, air, boat, train and bus both domestically and internationally between 25-50%. 2. Able to independently move and/or lift packages (up to 50 lbs.). 3. The ability to walk, stand, turn, climb, kneel, sit for extended periods, reach, lift, carry, push, talk, hear and see are basic requirements. 4. The ability to use an office phone, cell-phone, fax, photocopier, computer keyboard, laptop and other electronic business tools and related software. 5. Mental requirements include, but are not limited to, the ability to concentrate, take initiative, cope with stress, adapt to and stay alert in a business environment and use independent judgment to accomplish all Duties and Responsibilities and Goals. 6. Primarily in an office environment with extended periods of sitting at a desk. 7. Periodic evening teleconferences or video conferences with Asia requiring shift change or over- time at company discretion.
