DescriptionUnder general supervision an Account Representative performs general administrative and sales support functions and participates in the sales process. Typical tasks are: • preparing and distributing all documentation related to the sale or purchase of products • expediting, coordinating and resolving customer or supplier inquiries, requests or complaints regarding the terms of sales, sales documentation, shipping details, customs regulations and status of accounts • obtaining information on competitors, technological trends and expected changes in legislation/trade regulations affecting business • meeting with customers, current and prospective, to negotiate, obtain business, provide/receive information • contributing to achieving targeted sales objectives • working with internal departments (accounting, treasury, traffic...) to support operation of business unit • completing projects as appropriate. • Ocassional visits to our supplier located in Georgetown, KY 2 or 3 days a week on site work it depends on business case.
Requirements1. Knowledge of products, markets and technical terminology 2. Marketing and selling skills with demonstrated ability to assist in closing business transactions 3. Ability to assist in monitoring budgets 4. Knowledge of computer systems (PC familiarity including Word, Excel and use of the internet as a market research tool) and ability to adapt to SAP 5. Market research capabilities as demonstrated through participating in the attainment of new business and/or the expansion of existing business 6. Demonstrated experience in building long-term customer/supplier relationships 7. Demonstrated negoting skills 8. Ability to present ideas verbally and in writing 9. Ability to define and solve problems including generating alternative solutions Knowledge of Crankshafts, forgings & castings business is preferred, but not necessary.
