Description• Prospect for new U.S. customers with global colocation opportunities (i.e. both in and outside the United States) within the mid-sized enterprise market; • Plan and execute lead generation activities to create pipeline and close business • Hunter” role requiring background of cold calling prowess, i.e. including customarily and regularly engaging in sales and/or obtaining orders or contracts for services or for the use of • facilities, while away from the employer’s place or places of business, in other words someone • who can go out and find own potential clients, by booking multiple appointments in a day; • Also requires a degree of “Farmer” mentality in order to retain and grow individual customers after concluding initial deal; • Close business and meet & exceed quarterly sales targets; and • Work closely with San Francisco and internationally based teams to sell services to U.S. clients • Perform any and all other related duties, as assigned by H.O, from time to time.
Requirements• Experience selling Data Center services and associated customized and value-added services to small to middle sized US enterprises; • Considerable history of achieving and exceeding targets; • High level of comfort with the intricacies of international data center contracts; • “Can do” attitude with ability to generate own pipeline; • Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills; • Comfort in interacting with different levels of customer hierarchy up to C-level; • Open to working inter-culturally with other personnel around the world; • Deep knowledge of key market industries/segments and individual company needs; • Ability to plan and execute own account strategy, nurturing own contacts and leads into long-term business relationships; • Knowledge and experience of sales methodologies and ability to incorporate appropriately into own sales endeavors; • Skilled in planning, prioritizing and meeting deadlines; • Focus on customer experience and ensuring customer is completely satisfied; • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment; • Use company tools to plan, forecast and report sales to upper management; • Skilled in contract negotiations and closing deals; • Full account management responsibility to oversee everything from pre-sales through to post-sales including billing and on-going customer requests/issues; and • Handle customer issues, coordinate internally company responses, handle requested changes, information updates, etc.
