Description1.1 : As a network engineer for us, the Network Project Manager will work with Japanese automobile manufacturers and other project related service providers(*), including: (*) Telecom engineers, network equipment vendors, cloud service vendors, and OEM IT systems); 1.2 : Work will be performed from our Plano office, customer sites, and will also involve frequent business trips (e.g. twice a month or more) to certain customer sites, such as manufacturing plants and offices; 1.3 : The Network Project Manager’s scope of work entails all network related LAN, WAN, Security, IoT, and preferably WIFI and security proficiency; 1.4 : Oversee all projects to ensure that they are on track, proactively identify any issues, promptly report/share them with our Managers and applicable departments, and come up with fast and efficient solutions; 1.5 : Both the technical and business sides of the projects must be closely monitored and maintained; 1.6 : Co-work with and assist all project members working in and/or with our Plano office and their projects; 1.7 : Create and provide all applicable and required project related reports on a regular basis (daily, weekly, bi-weekly or monthly), to our Plano office members, related vendors and management; 1.8 : Presentation and explanation of all current project’s status, to customers and any other stakeholders, if and whenever required and/or necessitated; and 1.9 : Create all presentation related materials, including but not limited to filling-out internal pricing application forms (if requested) for our services, based on each customer’s specific requirements.
Requirements2.1 Required Qualifications- A) Long-term Project Management experience - Ability to create documentation (including but not limited to, MS excel/ppt/word and other internal systems related forms), in order to explain the required tasks and solutions to customers, organizations and internal all personnel/departments; - Ability to shape issues (*) out of discussions, while addressing customers, vendors, and internal personnel/departments; - Ability to create/update Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) documentation, in order to track all project status and explain same to customers and internal personnel/departments; and - Ability to lead all projects, including but not limited to understanding any potentially applicable influences on the overall design, based on your internal discussions with the engineers in each technological area. (*) “Issues”, as used herein, refers to a wide range of systems, including devices, wireless networks, fixed networks and/or clouds. The Project Manager is expected to identify and isolate any and all potential “issues”. B) Knowledge of IT Network Equipment utilized by Enterprise Corporate Customers- - Understands and has experience with enterprise corporate scale IT network structures, such as LAN and WAN networks, (Large scale Wireless network experiences are preferable); - Ability to analysis and identify any and all existence and constraints of bottlenecks (e.g. WiFi and Wired portion, authentication equipment, etc.); and - Understands, can create and maintain the requisite management workflow(*), in order to provide LAN/WAN based management services. (*) “Workflow” as used here means a basic understanding of the roles and responsibilities of a group of companies when working together to provide IT services, including telecommunications carriers, IT network providers, and IoT devices. 2.2 Communication skills - Must be capable of building good relationships with all of our customers, especially those in Texas, encouraging “straight talk” from all of our customers, listening carefully to what they have to say, and then reporting this information to our managers and our corporate Vendors, as objectively as possible.
