DescriptionA leading distributor of factory automation components is looking for an Outside Sales Representative for the Lexington Branch. As an Outside Sales Representative, you are responsible for several critical functions within our organization. The essential functions of your job are listed below. These are duties you must be able to perform. This is a full time position and is classified as exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). As an exempt employee, you will be expected to manage your work hours to successfully complete all assignments. The primary responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following: • Identifying, building, and managing key customer accounts • Promoting products for manufacturers and suppliers that are important to the organization • Following up quickly, clearly, and in a thorough manner with customers via email, phone, fax, and in-person (as dictated by the situation) • Analyzing customer trends, identifying upcoming business opportunities, and making recommendations to customers and management for ways to increase sales and GP • Reporting sales activity on a regular basis • Communicating and acting in a “team” environment with other employees • Working closely with management to identify new areas for improvement and growth • Communicate well with Inside Sales to cooperate and work as a team. • Liaise with customers and suppliers for business expansion and business execution for gauge. (Quotation, delivery management, delivery, etc.) • Other tasks assigned by management. You will be the position will be responsible for Tier 1 suppliers with a focus on North America, and the main areas will be KY, AL, WV, MI, IN, VA, and MS in the US.
Requirements• Excellent communication, time management, and computer skills • General knowledge of factory automation or automation components sales • Ability to analyze customer data and trends in order to develop strong business plans for each key account, and to plan and achieve specific sales and GP goals and to execute the plans for each fiscal year. • Must have a valid driver’s license • 1-3 year experience in B to B sales • Bachelor’s degree preferred • Japanese speaking skill is preferred but not a must have.
